Oyster from Harrisons three clothes

Autumn/Winter 2020 collections

Oyster

Oyster kicks off its line up with a trio of rather smart windowpane tic weaves in grey, blue and brown with contrasting deco’s (I’m particularly partial to 77103) and other highlights include pin dots which have a nice retro vibe (eg 77107), a large assortment of herringbones in narrow and wide widths, a couple of excellent glen checks (again I am attracted to the golden brown tones of 77126) as well as the usual suspects of plain twills perfect for blazers, suits, or formal wear) and a wonderful range of stripes in a variety of widths and iterations. I for one would welcome the return of classic stripes, particularly the bolder chalkstripes and wider stripes – such a great 30’s Hollywood look that is enjoying a resurgence. (suggest including images of Hollywood greats like Cary Grand and Humphrey Bogart in stripe DB suits).

Autumn/Winter 2020 collections

Cru Classè

Cru Classe is Harrisons’ exclusive, 10 oz classic English twill suiting collection for year-round wear. A staple of Savile Row tailors who appreciate its characteristically English finish (definitely NOT shiny), and robust body thanks to its increasingly rare 2 ply both ways yarn construction (i.e. double ply yarn woven in both the vertical (warp) and horizontal (weft) loom order) , Cru Classe is appreciated by those looking for durable British cloth that is neither too traditional nor overtly fashionable. It rests comfortably in the elegance of discretion, valuing refined taste over excess design.

A section of formal styles for evening wear is included, together with an elegant assortment of day wear suitings in patterns ranging from plains, stripes, herringbones, glen checks, split basket, birdseyes, sharkskins and windowpanes in blues, browns and greys. Nothing too tricky, all perfectly assorted to compliment a classically modern wardrobe.
